MEASUREMENT OF THE L/K-CAPTURE RATIO IN Fe$sup 55$ DECAY

Journal Article · · Physical Review (U.S.) Superseded in part by Phys. Rev. A, Phys. Rev. B: Solid State, Phys. Rev. C, and Phys. Rev. D
The L and K x-radiations of manganese resulting from orbital-electron capture in a gaseous source of Fe/sup 55/ were studied in a multiwire proportional counter. The L/K-capture ratio was found to be 0.108 plus or minus 0.006, in good agreement with the theoretical value. (auth)
