Determination of Radioactive Mineral Strontium-90 in Urine; RECHERCHE DU STRONTIUM MINERAL RADIOACTIF $sup 90$Sr DANS LES URINES

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4188282
An analytical procedure for radioactive strontium in urine is described. As a first step, a precipitation of calcium oxalate is performed on the urine to detect the presence of various fission products and particularly of strontium which is carried by the precipitate. Strontium can then be selectively separated on ion exchange resins. By studying the growth curve of beta activity, it is possible to determine the activities which may be attributed to Sr/sup 89/ and Sr/ sup 90/ respectively. (auth)
