A method for determining Sr/sup 90/ in rainwater is described, The radioisotopes are captured in ion exchange resins, which are then burned in an electric oven. Strontium sulfate is separated from the other resulting sulfates by precipitation in sulfuric acid. The Sr/sup 90/ is then determined from the Y/ sup 90/ activity. The results of an investigation of the technique are included. (D.C.W.)
