INVESTIGATION OF THE $gamma$-SPECTRUM OF Ce$sup 14$$sup 0$ (in Russian)

BS>Gamma radiation with energy above 2 mc/sup 2/ from Ce/sup 140/ was investigated. For this purpose the internal pair conversion positron spectrum of decaying La/sup 140/ was measured. By comparison of this spectrum with the corresponding K shell electron conversion lines the multipolarities and intensities of gamma -quanta with energies E gamma = 1596, 2330, and 2525 kev were determined. It is shown that for transitions involving energies above 2mc/ sup 2/ such a method of determination of gamma -quantum characteristics is advantageous in certain respects. (auth)
