The drift tubes for the linac are ellipsoidal in shape with a length varying from 1 to 15 inches and:maximum diameter of about 9 inches. The system of support provides adjustments in orthogonal coordinates parallel to the directions in which aligning measurements are to be taken as well as providing for all adjustments necessary.
