The Advanced Gas-cooled Reactor (AGR) project, compesed of the AGR and Hero reactors, is expected to be finished and in operation sometime in 1961. The AGR reactor is described: containment building, refueling machine, control rod and auto control rod mechanisms, and pressure vessel. A table of characteristics is given for the AGR. (D.L.C.)
