Magnetic monopoles and distorted gauge symmetry
It is shown that magnetic monopoles occur in massive vector boson theory with an intrinsic symmetry breakdown while still possessing distorted gauge symmetry. The exact static spherically symmetric solutions for the monopole are obtained. Their meaning is discussed on the basis of gauge symmetry. (auth)
