The magnetic susceptibility of polycrystalline thulium was measured from 300 to 1500 deg K. The Weiss-Curie law was satisfied between those temperatures. The parametic Curie temperature (17.4 plus or minus 0.5°K) and the Curie constant ((4.37 plus or minus 0.13) x 10-2 cm 30Kg-1) were determined. The effective Bohr magneton number corresponding to the measured Curie constant was determined to be 7.68 plus or minus 0.10.
