YANKEE CONTROL ROD PROGRAMMING STUDY
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4173622
A study was made of various rod withdrawal sequences for the Yankee Power Reactor. Acoount is taken of the ef-fect of spatial variation of material due to the basic core structure and to the arrays of control rods and followers on the maximum to average power density, F/sub Q/, ard the enthalpy rise hot channel factor, F/sub DELTA T/. The results are pre-sented in both tabular and pictorial form. A control rod program is selected on the basis of optimum, i.e., lowest. values of F/sub Q/ and F/sub DELTA T/. (auth)
