A FLUORIDE VOLATILITY PROCESS FOR THE RECOVERY OF URANIUM

A fluoride volatility process is described for the recovery of uranium from neutron-irradiated uranium. The process consists of treating the neutron- irradiated uranium with a halogen fluoride in the liquid phase, fractionally distilling the liquid phase, and separately collecting the UF/sub 6/-rich fraction.
