CHARGED $pi$-MESON PRODUCTION IN THE INTERACTION BETWEEN 9 Bev PROTONS AND PHOTOGRAPHIC EMULSION NUCLEI (in Russian)

Nuclear disintegrations produced in photographic emulsions by 9 Bev protons and possessing not less than three fast particles were studied. The charged pi -meson energy spectruin was measured up to 540 Mev and extrapolated to the high energy region. The angular distributions of fast pi mesons and protons in the laboratory coordirate system were obtained. The mean numbers of pi -mesons and fast protons per disintegration were found. The fraction of primary proton energy transferred to pi -mesons is estimated. The ratio of the numbers of pi - and K-mesons in the velocity range beta = 0.5 to 0.8 was derived. (auth)
