INELASTIC SCATTERING OF PROTONS AND DEUTERONS BY Mg$sup 2$$sup 4$ (in Russian)

The angular distribution of 6.8 Mev protons and 13.6 Mev deuterons inelastically scattered by Mg/sup 24/, in which the 2/sup +/, 1.37 Mev level was excited, was investigated at angles from 2.5 to 140 deg . Some hitherto unknown details of the angular distribution in the small angle region were detected. Comparison with inelastic scattering theories shows that the direct interaction mechanism is important. (auth)
