GREULING-GOERTZEL CALCULATIONS IN HEAVY WATER

The Greuling-Goertzel approximation is applied to the calculation of neutron slowing down in heavy water in the B/sub 1/ and P/sub 1/ approximations. Numerical calculations of the flux and nonescape probability assuming constant cross sections indicate the "inconsistent" Greuling-Goertzel B/sub 1/ approximation to be the most favorable. (auth)
