Journal Article · · Denki Shikensho Iho (Japan) Changed to Denshi Gijutsu Sogo Kenkyusho Iho
OSTI ID:4164945
To avoid interference from uranium lines in the spectrographic determination of rare earth elements in uranium compounds, the uranium was removed by an ether extraction, precipitation as fluorides. and purification by way of the hydroxides. La was used as a carrier in this chemical procedure. Four rare earth elements, Y, Dy, Gd, and Sm were investigated and their limits of detection-sensitivity-were reported. Their recoveries from the uranium were examined by way of tracer techniques with Eu/sup 152/+154/. (auth)
