A NEW TYPE OF LIGHT-TIGHT HOUSE FOR /cap alphA/-SCINTILLATION COUNTERS

A new type of light-tight house for alpha scintillation counters was described. The sample was rotated between fillin g and counting positions. The penetration of light onto the photomultiplier was under all circumstances prevented by means of a simple foolproof locking mechanism. The efficiency of the counter amounts to 47% and the background to 0.1 counts/min. (auth)
