ANALYSIS OF NATURALLY LEACHED URANIUM-THORIUM ORE SAMPLES. APPLICATION OF PURE GAMMA SPECTROMETRY

Journal Article · · Analytical Chemistry (U.S.) Formerly Ind. Eng. Chem., Anal. Ed.
DOI:https://doi.org/10.1021/ac60164a036· OSTI ID:4163764
All the radiometric methods in use at present are reviewed and their applications in the analysis of leached ores are discussed. Possible errors encountered in radiometric analysis are summarized. Pure gamma -spectrometry gives the best results for the concentration of U/sub 3/O/sub 8/ and ThO/sub 2/ in the worst cases of natural leaching. (auth)
