Previously published data on corrosion rates and hydrogen absorption in zirconium and zirconium alloys in water at 680 deg F are reviewed. From these data, calculations were made which show that hydrogen concentrations in Zircaloy 2 are possibly due to hydrogen absorption during the corrosion reaction. (C.J.G.)
