THE OVERHAUSER EFFECT AND ALLIED PHENOMENA (in Russian)

An analysis is made of resonance saturation, paramagnetic resonance hynerfine structure, and contact interactions of electron and nuclear spins. The Overhauser effect with total saturation of all components in metals, in liquid or solid diamagnetics with paramagnetic admixtures, and in paramagnetic salts and semiconductors was studied as well as in alkali halide crystals and alkali ammonium solutions. The Overhauser effect is discussed from the standpoint of statistical physics and thermodynamics. 98 references. (R. V.J.)
