THE EFFECT OF ADRENALIN ON THE RENAL FUNCTION OF DOGS DURING RADIATION SICKNESS INDUCED BY POLONIUM (in Russian)

Journal Article · · Meditsinskaya Radiologiya (U.S.S.R.) For English translation see Med. Radiol., USSR
OSTI ID:4151146
In a subacute form of radation sickness produced by polonium the effect of adrenalin on the renan function is pronounced to a greater extent than in intact animals. The information derired from experiments testify to an elevated sensibibity to the effect of adrenalin of both the filtration glomerules and reabsorption tubules. Determination of the changes in the index showiog the ratio of urea-chlorewater in the dynamics attending the development of radiation sickness demonstrated the growing hypofunction of the suprarenals 30 days following the injury produced by polonium.
