ComEd uses the web to launch pilot program

Commonwealth Edison Co. (ComEd) is using the Internet to help customers save as much as 15 percent on their energy bills. The meeting on the World Wide Web between ComEd and its customers living in selected north and northwest Chicago suburbs began on August 1st in the form of a Home Energy Audit. The pilot program is designed to help customers better understand their monthly electric bills and show them the amount of energy used in their households for cooling, heating, lighting and appliances. The survey includes a report that shows customers ways to save up to 15 percent on their electric bills.
