A formula for the angular distribution of tritium produced in the capture of partially polarized mu /sup -/ mesons by He/sup 3/ nuclei is derived by taking into account hyperfine structure. The dependence of the asymmetry coefficient on the induced pseudoscalar interaction constant is investigated. (auth)
