MEASUREMENTS OF ISOMERIC LIFETIMES IN V$sup 49$ AND W$sup 18$$sup 0$

Journal Article · · Nuclear Physics (Netherlands) Divided into Nucl. Phys. A and Nucl. Phys. B
By time-to-pulse-height conversion the mean life of the 152-kev level in V/sup 49/ was measured as (2.97 plus or minus 0.08) x 10/sup -8/ sec while that of the 89-kev level in the same nucleus was shown to be less than 7 x 10/sup -10/ sec. The mean life of the 102-kev level in W/sup 180/ was measured as (1.76 plus or minus 0.04) x 10/sup -9/ sec, in slight disagreement with the value of (1.92 plus or minus 0.07) x 10/sup -9/ sec recently quoted by Fossan and Herskind.
