A COMPUTER PROGRAMME FOR DETERMINING THE DISTRIBUTION OF PENETRATING NEUTRONS IN REACTOR SHIELDS

A program for use with the Ferranti mercury computer is described which evaluates the initial input source distribution data for the neutron shielding program RASH B. Alternatively, the program can be used to obtain the removal flux distribution through a reactor shield and core. The distribution of the average energy of the calculated quantity is also obtainable if required. The application of this program is limited to large cylindrical or plane systems. (auth)
