Film-badge dosimeters employing various filters were used to estimate occupational exposure to x and gamma radiation amomg medical and dental workers. The results of 2-yr pects, especially as regards the percemtage of overexposed persons, dose distribution, and the average dose in various medical specialties. The percentage of the personnel exposed to excessive doses, compared with other countries, was high at the beginning of the survey, but was later decreased. Thus it was reduced from 373 mr in 1959 to 142 mr in 1960. At the latter time there were no groups of persons exposed to increasing doses. The percentage of persons with exposures above the maximum permissible monthly dose (400 mr) was 13% in the first six months after the introduction of the film service, but it decreased to 4% in the latter half of the second year.
