RADIATION PROTECTION OF PERSONNEL AND PATIENTS IN X-RAY DIAGNOSTIC DEPARTMENTS

By means of film badges, doses received by nurses and doctors were measured and recorded. Nurses involved in therapy and diagnosis received 444 and 109 mr/yr, respectively, doctors 78 mr, and clerks 6 mr. The maximum permissible dose is 100 mr per week or 5200 mr/yr, and the annual background dose is 100 mr. Means and rules for radioprotection to be employed by radiology department personnel are discussed. (BBB)
