THE STABILITY OF THREE BASE METAL THERMOCOUPLES IN HELIUM-CARBON DIOXIDE, CARBON DIOXIDE AND AIR AT 300 C

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4142627
Sets of chromel-alumel, copper-constantan, and ironconstantan thermocouples were held for extended periods at 300 deg C in successive atmospheres of 75% He-25% CO/sub 2/, in pure CO/sub 2/, and in air. No significant drift beyond experimental error inherent in the measuring system occurred during the tests. Procedures and results are included. (J.R.D.)
