STUDIES OF SPECTRA OF $gamma$ EMITTING MINERAL DEPOSIT COMPOSITION (in Russian)

Selected stable parameters for the energy spectra between --0.2 and 3.0 Mev of gamma emitting and absorbing media are analyzed. Scintillation counter data were studied, and applications of gamma spectrometry in prospecting for radioactive minerals and deposits are discussed. The gamma spectra detected on the surface of various homogeneous rock depesits with thorium and uranium concentrations of approximately 10/sup -6/ g/g and potassium concentrations of approximately 10/sup -2/ g/g are plotted, (R.V.J.)
