CHEMICAL EFFECTS OF IONIZING RADIATION ON DEOXYRIBONUCLEIC ACID IN DILUTE AQUEOUS SOLUTION
Reactions involved in the radiation chemistry of purine and pyrimidine neucleotides in dilute aqueous solution are described. Results are reviewed on radiochemical changes after irradiation of samples of calf thymus from four separate preperations. (C.H.)
