An improved procedure ts described for studying the effect of oxygen and nitric oxide on the radiosensitivity of human cells in tissue culture. Data are included on the survival of human cells after 200 kv x radiation during equilibration with oxygen, air, nitrogen, and 0.275% oxygen in nitrogen, and 10% nitric oxide in nitrogen. (C.H.)
