THE LATENT HEAT OF FUSION OF LITHIUM HYDRIDE FROM CRYOGENIC MEASUREMENTS

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4138934

OTS. The latent heat of fusion of lithium hydride was evaluated cryogenically from the lowering of the freezing point by the solutes lithium oxide and calcium hydride. Within the additional limits of error created by uncertainty as to solid solution formation, the estimated value of the latent heat is 4900 plus or minus 700 calories per mole at the melting point of 688 deg C.
