NEUTRON SCATTERING AND THE CRYSTALLINE STARK EFFECT IN RARE EARTH OXIDES (in French)

Journal Article · · Compt. rend.
OSTI ID:4137945
The decomposition of the ground level of magnetic ions of rare earths by the crystalline field was measured with the aid of inelastic scattering of neutrons. Transitions of 365 and 76 cm/sup -1/ were found in Ho/sub 2/O/sub 3/ and of 420.81 and 40.5 cm/sup -1/ in Er/sub 2/O/sub 3/. (tr-auth)
