PULSE DISTRIBUTION OF PARTICLES PRODUCED IN INELASTIC NN-INTERACTIONS AT 9 Bev (in Russian)

Theoretical and experimental spectra for particles produced in inelastic nucleon interactions (in the colliding nucleon center of inertia system) are plotted. The value p-bar obtained by the analysis of proton interactions with emulsion nuclei is p-bar approx equal p-bar, = (3.0-- 0.5) Bev/c for protons and p-bar approx equal p-bar/sub s pi / = (1.0--0.2) Bev/c for pi mesons (p- bar/sub s pi / is t he fast proton pulse: p-bar/sub s pi / the fast pi meson pulse). The experimental nucleon spectra is stronger and the pi -meson spectra softer than the theoretical. The theoretical energy losses in the production of new particles per inelastic p-p interaction is about 58% of the initial nucleon energy (50% on pi meson production and about 8% on strange particles), which is much higher tham isshown by experimental data.
