High-repetition-frequency operation of vacuum ultraviolet hydrogen laser

A hydrogen laser emitting in vacuum ultraviolet was operated at a high frequency. A narrow waveguide cell was excited by a parallel-plate storage line with a gas discharger. When the repetition frequency was 45 Hz, the total average output power due to 13 transitions in the 161 nm range was 0.4 mW. (AIP)
