PROGRESS ON USAEC/AECL COOPERATIVE PROGRAM. Quarterly Report, September 1963-November 1963

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4133875

The program to determine the effect of long-time exposure (to 20,000 hr) on the creep-rupture strength of three sintered aluminum powder alloys was continued. The alloys were SAP-895, M-257, and SAP-915. Temperatures of interest were 700, 800, and 900 deg F. Results of creeprupture tests from 1 to 1000 hr at each temperature are presented and progress on long-time tests is described. Research is also being carried out to obtain creep and creep-rupture data on annealed and cold-worked Zircaloy-2 sheet. Temperatures of interest ranged from 450 to 750 deg F. Results are presented for times from 19,400 to 52,900 hr. (M.C.G.)
