A 2 Mev Van de Graaff accelerator, fast neutron scintillators, a Hurst- type proportional counter, BF/sub 3/ proportional counters surrounded with paraffin of various thickness, and a NaI scintillator surrounded with paraffin were used to examine neutron energy in the range of 5 kev approximates 1.6 Mev. Results are compared for the energy dependence of fast neutron absorbed dose. (auth)
