In the study of radiations from Ag/sup 115/ nuclei, 19 gamma rays were observed with the following energies in Mev (and intensities in percent of Ag/sup 115/ ground-state decays): and 2.30(1.3). The data were obtained from single- crystal and gamma-gamma coincidence spectra and with NaI(Tl) scintillation detectors. The single-crystal spectra were corrected experimentally for gamria ray summing, and for bremsstrahlung effects. Gamma-gamma coincidence spectra were measured with gating energies of 0.13, 0.22, Hoogenboori spectra were measured using gamma-ray sum gating energies of 2.15, 0.37, and 0.52 Mev. A decay scheme is proposed for Ag/sup 115/, postulating existence of a short-lived ( approximates 1.5-minute) Ag/sup 115/ ground state, of which the activity in the above measurements was in secular equilibrium with the 20-minute Ag/sup 115/ activity, now attributed to an isomeric state. 9% of the 20-minute Ag/sup 115/ isomer decays directly (by beta-decay) to the isomeric-state of Cd/sup 115/ while 91% undergoes isomeric transition to the 1.5-minute Agiis. The results of preliminary studies of the decay properties of Ag/sup 116/, indicate a half 1ife of 2.5 plus or minus 0.1 minutes, and emission of 13 gamma rays. The latter have the following energies in Mev (and intensities in percent of Ag/sup 116/ decays): 0.51(25), 0.60(?), 0.71(20), 0.9(7), 1.0(11), 1.2(10), Spectral measurements together with the single crystal beta-radiation data (corrected for backscattering) when examined via Kurie analysis, disclosed beta-rays with the following end-point energies in Mev (and intensities in percent of Ag/sup 116/ decay): 5.12(9), 3.41(21), 2.58(26), 2.26(33), and 1.30(11). A proposed preliminary decay scheme is consistent with these results. Ag/sup 117/ was identified as a shorterlived component of 0.7 plus or minus 0.2 minutes half life in the various decay measurements made to determine the half life for Ag/sup 116/. (TCO)
