ON THE 4$pi$/cap beta/-$gamma$ COINCIDENCE METHOD FOR ABSOLUTE MEASUREMENT OF THE DECAY RATE OF RADIOACTIVE ISOTOPES (in German)

Journal Article · · Atomkernenergie (West Germany) Merged with Kerntechnik to form Atomkernenerg./Kerntech. Acta Radiol. Changed to Acta Radiol.: Oncol., Radiat. Phys.
OSTI ID:4128130
>With the 4 pi BETA - gamma coincidence technique described, it is possible to measure the absolute disintegration rate of siiitable radioactive isotopes with greater accuracy than was previously achieved. The principles involved and their limits of application are discussed. Particular emphasis is given to the different technical and physical corrections that were previously investigated. A special application of the method to the measurement of BETA radiation in a 4 pi counter is mentioned. (auth)
