NUCLEAR FALLOUT AFTER MEGATON NUCLEAR TESTS IN 1961-1963 (in Czech)

By measuring the activity of atmospheric fallout in 1961 to 1963 it was proved that the mean residence time of fission products in the stratosphere after megaton nuclear tests is longer than it was in 1959 and 60 after nuclear tests which were mostly of a smaller caliber. This results in prolongation of decontamination half period'' of the atmosphere from fission products. The question of periodical variations of nuclear fallout activity caused probably by movements of air masses in the low stratosphere was also studied. The solution of this question is still at initial stage. (auth)
