The mean specific heat capacities of calcium monouranate were measured over the temperature range 293 to 1134 deg K and that of barium monouranate over the temperature range 293 to 1084 deg K. Equations are presented for calculating the mean and true heat capacities within these temperature limits. The heat capacity of CaUO/sub 4/ was shown to change with a jump at the temperature range 1022 to 1027 deg K. Here a phase transition evidentiy takes place, the heat of which is 220 cal/mole.
