DETERMINATION OF GAMMA QUANTITIES OF BORON IN COMPLEX ALLOYS (in Russian)

A method is suggested for the determination of gamma quantities of boron in a small sample of nickel, cobalt, iron, and titanium-base alloys. The preliminary distillation of boron as methyl-borate is not necessary. The separation of boron from accompanying elements is carried out on the mercury cathode. The optimum conditions were established for the spectrophotometric determination of gamma quanti ties of boron in various alloys with carminic acid, chromotrope 2B, and arsenazo II. (auth)
