THE RESEARCH REACTORS USED BY THE CEA. A BRIEF REPORT ON THE REACTOR CHARACTERISTICS AND INDICATIONS ON THE GENERAL PROGRAM FOR USE. 6. THE REACTOR PEGASE (in French)

The principal purpose of the Pegass reactor (30 Mw) is to test in real operating conditions fuel elements designed for gas-cooled power reactors. The basic criteria of the design are explained. Several autonomous loops can be located around a very concentrated core; they are removable: a tested fuel element can be removed without andy notable effect on reactor operation; this presents possibilities never before obtained in a research reactor.
