SOLVENT EXTRACTION PROCESSES FOR RECOVERY OF RADIOACTIVE MATERIALS

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4119791
Four solvent extraction processes were developed for separating fission products from stored waste solutions: D2EHPA, DPA, BAMBP, and CSREX. The chemistry, flowsheets, and pilot plant performance of these processes are described briefly, and the pH dependency of the separations is pointed out. Either the D2EHPA or CSREX process will be used to process current and stored radioactive wastes for the Waste Management Program. (D.L.C.)
