A description is given of the changes in the design of the Bradwell reactor which resulted in alterations in the construction. Some changes were made in the graphite construction, control system, and safety standards. Throughout the construction constant attention was devoted to ways of ensuring against disastrous incidents to the neighborhood or the reactor. A description is given of the site staff and the construction organization for the housing of the workmen, fabrication of the pressure vessel, and the general services provided by the contractors. The form of the organization which successfully fulfilled the requirements of the original conception for handling the Bradwell contract is outlined. (B.O.G.)
