ON THE LUMINESCENCE MECHANISM OF KC1-Ag (in Russian)

Optical absorption spectra and recombination luminescence spectra (spectra of optical flash stimulated in the E-band, and spectra of thermoluminescence) for KCl--Ag phosphor excited with x rays both at liquid oxygen and room temperatures were measured. Relations between the E-centers and the principal luminescence centers were studied. It is shown that the phosphorescence of silver ions results from the recombination of the electrons with localized holes, appears to be electronic recombination luminescence. Possible nature of green emission is discussed. (auth)
