A 3 x 3 x 3 cm plastic scintillator was used for measuring cross sections of C/up 12/(p,pn)C/sup 11/ reactions at 9 Bev. A total proton flux of approximates 2 x 10/sup 6/ was determined by tracks in a 200- mu emulsion. Beam angular distribution was measured for determining contributions of secondary particles. Tracks with a dip of plus or minus 45' were considered as primary tracks. Mean fluctuations in the proton flux did not exceed 15%. It was found that 16% of the C/sup 11/ is formed by secondary particles. The result of three expositions showed cross section values of 25.2, 26.1, and 27.2 mb, with a statistical order of error of 1.0 mb. Corrected results yield delta = 26.2 plus or minus 1.5 mb.
