TURBULENT DIFFUSION OF A RAREFIED PLASMA IN A STRONG MAGNETIC FIELD (in Russian)

Journal Article · · Zh. Eksperim. i Teor. Fiz.
OSTI ID:4116511
Turbulent diffusion of a collisionless plasma in a strong magnetic field, which develops as a result of drift instability, is considered. It is shown that in the presence of oscillations, besides Landau linear damping, a nonlinear damping occurs that strongly diminishes the amplitude of the stationary oscillations. The oscillation spectrum and diffusion turbulence coefficient are approximately determined. (auth)
