A seal of the same type as the ordinary ring seal but without a tendency to leah is designed comprising a Tshaped groove in the closure member and a resilient ring or gasket formed with lateral ears whereby it is retained in the groove. The gas pressure forces the ring into intimate contact with one side of the groove to form a good seal. (D.L.C.)
