DUAL PHOSPHOR DETECTORS

A technique is described using two scintillation phosphors with different decay times mounted on a single photomultiplier tube. The scintillations from the two phosphors are then separated in a pulse length discrimination circuit. The dual phosphor detector is compact and is suitable for use in survey meters and well-logging instruments to record different types of radiation simultaneously. (auth)
