From Symposium on Radiation Emergencies in Medicine, Research, and Industry, Chicago, Dec. 1963. A survey is presented of decontamination methods and materials and their use at Brookhaven. Special problems of decontamination are considered. Decontamination methods and criteria for their use are given. Decontaminating agents and materials used at Brookhaven are described, and an account is given of the accident and decontamination experience at Brookhaven. (D.L.C.)
