CESIUM-137 IN THE BLOOD OF THE FINNISH LAPPS
A survey was made of the diet, health, whole-body content of Cs/sup 137/ , and blood content of Cs/sup 137/ of about 200 adult Lapps living in Finnish Lapland in May 1962. The body burden of Cs/sup 137/ in Lapps was found to be about twice as high as in October 1961. It was concluded that the wholebody content of Cs/sup 137/ can be determined from blood content when Cs/sup 137/ values range from 200 to 1,500 pC/l of blood and when the dietary history of the people is known.
